Behind The Scarecrow was Cal—a handler admired and respected by so many, who brought to life one of OSW’s most formidable and unforgettable characters. Though Cal has sadly since passed away, the mark he left on OSW can never be erased.

His legend lives on, just as the legend of The Scarecrow does. Forever remembered. Forever part of OSW.

RED RIVER JACK

Red River Jack is a name forever etched into OSW history. Alongside Manson and HATE, his unforgettable stable, The Awakening, will go down in lore as one of those special creations that helped define an era.

Jack was also responsible for one of OSW’s most historic moments, becoming the first character to ever kill another character on screen. Smoke may have been easily forgotten, but Red River Jack certainly wasn’t.

From his memorable stories with Neville Sheldon to his battles and encounters with Mike Lane, Jack left behind a legacy filled with moments that will forever live on in OSW history. At the heart of it all was Cal—an incredible handler, storyteller and writer whose creativity brought Red River Jack to life.

Cal may no longer be with us, but the characters and stories he created ensure that his influence remains. Red River Jack stands as another piece of that legacy, immortalizing not only an unforgettable character, but a writer so many still aspire to be like.

Mike Lane is the man. It’s that simple.

From the very beginning of OSW, and for many years thereafter, Mike Lane was the dominant Champion who set the standard for everyone who followed. The Shadow always endured—and so did he.

A former four-time World Champion, Lane became so synonymous with winning that “lol Lane wins” became one of OSW’s longest-standing memes. But behind the championships, victories and dominance was a character who helped define an era and establish exactly what it meant to be at the top of OSW.

And the man behind Mike Lane has been every bit as influential as the character himself. From his writing and creative contributions to his live shows and everything in between, his fingerprints can be found throughout OSW’s history.

Still actively handling to this day, Mike Lane isn’t part of the furniture—he’s crafting it.

The Shadow endured. The legacy endures with him.
